Need Luster? Goliath has it. Cortez's Golden Goliath of Suri Park Alpacas  is the King of Luster. In six shows Goliath has won six firsts, including four color champions and a first at the 2007 AOBA Nationals. Each judge commented on Goliath's extreme luster. One judge stated that she didn't even need the lights on to see this guy's luster. Not only does he have luster, but density and locks as well.

In the summer of 2007, Suri Park submitted a fiber biopsy of Goliath to Dr. Evans. The results were amazing. Goliath demonstrated nice gland structure around his follicles. This is associated with super luster and fiber quality. This glandular presence is highly genetic. Goliath's S/P ratio was 11 to 1. The average S/P ratio in suris is 8.5 to 1. Goliath's fiber density was 51.75 follicles per square millimeter. This was one of the hightest densities Dr. Evans has performed on a suri. The average density Dr. Evans considers good is 39 to 40 follicles.Goliath's density and S/P ratio are well above average. In addition to demonstrating super glands, Goliath's biopsy also showed low secondary medulation, which equates to nice handle. Goliath's cluster structure on all views of his scans were symmetrical, which results in nice tight locks. In conclusion, the relsults indicated the multi champion Goliath is.

Goliath's sire is the Champion NGG Cortez, who is out of the legendary Peruvian Uribe. His dam, Acero Marka's Ultra Vixen, is a true maroon colored girl. She has taken a 2nd in Produce of Dam against big named white females. Ultra Vixen retains a micron count of 22.9 at ten years of age. All of her babies are big, weighing 20+ lbs. at birth, with Goliath being the biggest at 26 lbs.

The genetics are there and the proof of his superb fiber is in his biopsy results. First there was Uribe, then there was Cortez, and now there is Goliath. Let the legacy continue on your farm. Book a breeding to Goliath this weekend and recieve a generous show discount from Suri Park Alpacas.
